Lightsculptures

The Light sculptures are a series of works, microlightsculptures, that demonstrates how light can change materials and spaces as it touches the objects built for this purpose. The sculptures receive, reflect and send light. They have an inside and an outside, they are micro objects placed in a spatial macro context, usually a public space. They attract the viewer and initiate a dialogue of reflection. They are often temporary and or mobile objects and therefore free to move from destination to destination. All have their own character, often they have been created for a specific theme for example "8 windows and 9 doors" was built for the 20th anniversary of the "peaceful revolution" as was exhibited in a prison cell of the "Bauztner Strasse" prison in Dresden.
