Another favorite of mine is the "Eating the light" installation which was exhibited on several occasions in public streets, buildings and squares. This very simple light sculpture takes the form of a "swing grill" which is a very popular everyday object in Germany. The visitors place objects on the grill and they are lit from below where there is a "fire of light". The light shoots up through the objects and meets a mirror which redirects the light into the mouths of the party guests standing around the "grill". We eat light, it is healthy and nutritious. There is a message in there somewhere.
